About Monica Azoulay

Behavior & Identity Investigator • Keynote Speaker • Author

I help people understand why they think, feel, and behave the way they do—so they can consciously choose who they become next.

MY STORY

For years, I lived in survival mode.

From the outside, I looked like I had everything together.

I was dependable. Responsible. High-achieving. The person everyone could count on.

Behind the scenes, I was carrying the weight of caregiving, grief, chronic health challenges, emotional eating, unresolved trauma, and years of putting everyone else’s needs ahead of my own.

I had become so focused on surviving that I no longer recognized the woman I was beneath it all.

At my highest weight, I weighed well over 325 pounds. Eventually, I stopped getting on the scale altogether.

I lived with chronic pain, struggled with binge eating, and no longer recognized the woman I had become.

I was exhausted.

I lived with chronic pain, struggled with binge eating, and no longer recognized the woman looking back at me in the mirror.

Then one day, my doctor looked me in the eyes and said,

“If you don’t make drastic changes, you’re not going to survive.”

Those words stopped me.

Not because they instantly changed my life—but because they forced me to acknowledge what I had spent years trying to outrun.

The truth is, I had known something needed to change for a long time.

What I didn’t know was where to begin.

Everywhere I looked, there was another diet, another expert, another opinion, another promise.

The more information I found, the more overwhelmed I became.

I wasn’t lacking motivation.

I was lacking clarity.

Everything began to change when I was invited into a room filled with women who had already achieved what I desperately wanted for myself.

For the first time, I could see that transformation was possible.

More importantly, I found a simple path forward and a community that believed in me before I fully believed in myself.

One step became another.

Then another.

As my health began to improve, I started asking different questions.

Not just…

“How do I change?”

But…

“Why did I become this version of myself in the first place?”

That question changed everything.

I began investigating the patterns, beliefs, and survival strategies that had quietly shaped my life for decades.

I learned that many of the behaviors I had spent years criticizing were never evidence that something was wrong with me.

They were adaptations.

They had developed for a reason.

As I healed my body, regulated my nervous system, rebuilt my relationship with food, and reconnected with who I truly was, everything else began to change.

Over time, I released nearly 200 pounds, rebuilt my health, regulated my nervous system, and reconnected with the woman I was created to be.

But the greatest transformation wasn’t physical.

I rebuilt trust with myself.

I found my voice.

I stopped living on autopilot.

And I discovered that healing isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about understanding who you became to survive—and consciously choosing who you want to become next.

That journey became the foundation for everything I do today.

It shaped the keynotes I deliver, the books I write, the conversations I host on my podcasts, and ultimately led to the creation of the RESET Methodology.

Because I believe the question isn’t,

“What’s wrong with me?”

The question is,

“What happened that taught my brain this was necessary?”

When we stop judging our behavior and begin investigating the story behind it, we gain something far more powerful than insight.

We gain the freedom to choose what comes next.

Who My Work Is For

My work is for people who have spent so long surviving that they no longer recognize themselves.

They’ve learned to be strong.

To be responsible.

To carry more than they should.

From the outside, they often appear capable, successful, and resilient.

But beneath the surface, they’re exhausted.

They know something feels off, even if they can’t explain why.

Many are navigating:

  • Burnout and chronic stress
  • Life transitions and identity shifts
  • Self-doubt and emotional overwhelm
  • Chronic health challenges
  • Nervous system dysregulation
  • The feeling that they’ve lost themselves beneath years of responsibility and survival

They aren’t looking for another quick fix.

They’re looking for understanding.

They’re ready to investigate the experiences that shaped them, reconnect with who they truly are, and consciously choose what comes next.

Because lasting transformation doesn’t begin with changing your thoughts.

It begins with understanding the story that created them.

My Approach

I believe lasting transformation begins with understanding.

Not just understanding your thoughts or your habits—but understanding the experiences that shaped them.

That’s why my work integrates behavioral investigation, trauma-informed principles, nervous system awareness, and a holistic view of health and healing.

Because our thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, relationships, and physical health do not exist independently of one another.

They influence each other every day.

Instead of asking,

“What’s wrong with me?”

I ask,

“What happened that taught my brain this was necessary?”

That question changes everything.

When we investigate the story behind our behavior with curiosity instead of judgment, we begin rebuilding self-trust.

We stop reacting from survival.

We start making conscious choices that align with who we truly are.

That philosophy became the foundation for the RESET Methodology and guides every keynote, every book, every podcast conversation, and every program I create.

My Philosophy

The RESET Methodology grew out of years of personal healing, professional training, and thousands of conversations about what truly creates lasting change.

I discovered that people rarely struggle because they lack willpower.

They struggle because they are trying to change behaviors without understanding the stories that created them.

That is why RESET looks beyond symptoms.

We investigate patterns.

We understand the nervous system.

We identify survival adaptations.

We reconnect with identity.

And then we intentionally build a life that aligns with who we want to become.

The work integrates:

Behavior Investigation
Understanding the patterns that reveal what your brain learned to do to keep you safe.

Nervous System Awareness
Recognizing how stress, overwhelm, and survival responses influence daily decisions.

Core Wounds & Survival Adaptations
Exploring the beliefs, protective behaviors, and coping strategies that were formed through experience.

Identity Reconnection
Rediscovering who you are beneath the roles, responsibilities, and expectations you’ve carried.

Whole-Person Wellness
Supporting emotional, physical, relational, and mental well-being because healing is interconnected.

Purpose & Intentional Action
Making conscious choices that reflect your values instead of your survival patterns.

This work is not about fixing yourself.

It is about understanding yourself well enough to consciously choose what guides your life next.

Why Women Trust Me

My work is grounded in both professional training and lived experience.

I am a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Certified Master Life Coach, Trauma-Informed Coach, keynote speaker, author, and creator of the RESET Methodology.

But credentials alone are not what shape my work.

The greatest lessons I teach are the ones I have lived.

I know what it feels like to lose yourself beneath the weight of responsibility.

I know what it feels like to navigate grief, chronic health challenges, emotional eating, caregiving, and years of believing you had to keep holding everything together.

I also know what it feels like to reconnect with yourself one intentional choice at a time.

Today, I bring together trauma-informed coaching, nervous system awareness, holistic wellness, behavior investigation, and lived experience to help women create meaningful and lasting transformation.

My goal is never to tell you who to become.

My goal is to help you understand how you became who you are—so you can consciously choose who you want to become next.

A Personal Note From Monica

If there’s one thing I hope you take away from my story, it’s this:

You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin.

For years, I believed I needed the perfect plan before I could change my life.

What finally changed everything wasn’t finding the perfect answer.

It was taking one small step.

Then another.

And another.

Transformation didn’t happen because I became someone new.

It happened because I slowly found my way back to the woman I had always been.

If you’re exhausted…
If you’ve spent years carrying everyone else…
If you’ve forgotten what it feels like to recognize yourself…

I want you to know there is hope.

Not because I’ve read about it.

Because I’ve lived it.

And because I’ve had the privilege of watching hundreds of women rediscover themselves, too.

You don’t have to walk this journey alone.

Ready to Begin?

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin.

You simply need a place to start.

If you’ve spent years caring for everyone else, carrying responsibilities, and wondering when you’ll finally feel like yourself again, know this:

Transformation doesn’t begin when you have all the answers.

It begins when you decide you’re ready for something different.

If you’re ready to reconnect with yourself, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
